City Council
Tioga’s City Council consists of the Mayor and five City Council members who are elected by the voters and serve two-year staggered terms.
Ordinance 344, approved on July 10, 2017, established a place system for electing councilmen. When an incumbent councilmen’s term expires, candidates shall file an application for a specific place on the governing body.

Council Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at City Hall, 600 Main Street. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. The agenda for the meetings is posted 72 hours prior to each meeting on the front glass door of City Hall.
If you would like to be placed on the agenda for a City Council meeting, please submit a written request to the City Secretary no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting. The request should be specific in regards to the subject matter you wish to discuss. You should attach any supporting documents that you would like to be viewed by the Council to the request.
Please note that all requests will be reviewed prior to making a decision on whether it will be included on the agenda. If your request is not placed on the agenda, you will be able to discuss it during agenda item titled “Citizens to be Heard”.
